Butterscotch Icecream Melt 2 tbsp butter with 1 c. brown sugar - boil for 1 minute. Scald 2 c. homo milk with 1/2 tsp salt Add butter/brown sugar mix Add 2 c. light cream Add 4 tsp pure vanilla extract Stir until dissolved CHILL Place in a cylinder. Place cylinder in bucket, pack outside of cylinder with crushed ice and pickling salt. Wedge two large branches around cylinder to prevent cylinder from turning while churning. If you are lucky, there is a central fin that can be cranked for freezing / mixing / stirring by you and all of your friends. If not, it has been demonstrated that a small can inside of a larger can will also work. The method of mixing and stirring then goes from hand to foot... Stir until tired, try to make the crank squeak a lot and hopefully one of your friends will offer to stir for a while. As soon as someone offers to stir, immediately accept and pass the cylinder to them to stir until THEY get tired. Repeat...Repeat...total stirring time should be about 1.5 - 2 hours.
