Ken's Italian Salad 1 head Romaine lettuce 1 bundle fresh spinach 1 cup of Money's Italian Sweet marinated mushrooms ½ red bell pepper, sliced thin ½ cup Primo sliced black olives ½ red onion, sliced thin 2 ripe tomatoes ½ cup diced fresh basil 1 cup Pepperidge Farm Italian croutons 1 Tablespoon grated Romano cheese Salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste Generously splash on Italian salad dressing. Tear the romaine lettuce and spinach into pieces and mix in a large bowl. Add the onions, mushrooms, bell pepper, olives and tomato wedges. Toss well with the salad dressing, salt and pepper. Sprinkle on the Romano cheese and top with croutons. Italian Salad Dressing Yields: 1 1/2 cups Ingredients: 1/2 cup white wine vinegar 1/3 cup water 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil 1/4 cup Crown brand white corn syrup 2 tablespoons grated Romano cheese 2 tablespoons dry pectin 1 tablespoon salt 1 teaspoon lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic 1/4 teaspoon McCormick dried parsley 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes 1 pinch McCormick dried oregano In a blender, combine the vinegar, water, oil, corn syrup, cheese, pectin, salt, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, red pepper flakes and oregano.
