Sour Cream Raisin Pie 1 cup sour cream 3/4 cup sugar yolks of 1 or 2 eggs (keep whites for meringue) 1 cup raisins Sprinkle of cinnamon or 1 tsp. vanilla (I use vanilla) 1 tsp. soda Buy a pie crust, prick with a fork and brown approx. 10 min. 350 F. Let cool while making filling. Boil sour cream, sugar, egg yolks (whisked in), raisins and cinnamon or vanilla until thick. Add baking soda and mix. Pour into a baked pie crust and top with meringue. Brown in oven. To make meringue Whip egg whites with about 1 tbsp. sugar until peaks form and it is stiff. Spread over filling and follow directions. A favourite recipe here and can be made with low fat sour cream. My sister Carole sent me this recipe, which is in the Purple Grove Family Cookbook, and was my cousin Marion's recipe. Ken
